With the addition of the new Abound program for Marriott Vacation Club owners, there are many new Vistana (Westin & Sheraton) resorts to book using Abound points. In this article, we’ll show which owners are eligible for the Abound program, and how to begin using Abound points to book these new Vistana resorts.
Abound Eligibility
As you may know, Marriott has 2 different timeshare products that are sold; a points-based ownership that uses a land trust, and a weeks-based ownership where the owner is deeded to a specific resort, season, and unit size.
Points Owners
For owners of Marriott Vacation Club points, their ownership will be automatically enrolled in the Abound program without any action on their part.
Weeks Owners
For Marriott Vacation Club weeks owners, if you were previously enrolled in the Destinations Exchange Program, you will be automatically enrolled in the Abound program. If you were previously ineligible to enroll your week in the Destinations Exchange Program, you will also be ineligible to join the Abound program.
There are a few considerations for being able to enroll, which can be summarized by the purchase date of your Marriott week, and if you purchased from Marriott directly or on the secondary resale market from a 3rd party.

Electing For Abound Points Deadlines
Points Owners
For points owners, there is no deadline to elect for Abound points and no action is needed on your part. All of your Marriott Vacation Club points will automatically be eligible to use in the Abound program without any additional action on your part.
Weeks Owners
For weeks owners that are enrolled in the Abound program, the deadline to elect to receive Club Points for your 2023 Week(s) is September 30 or October 31, 2022, depending on your Owner benefit level.
