Earlier this year, Hilton Grand Vacations Club officially announced that it would be expanding its Hawaii portfolio with a brand new resort located on the island of Maui. Maui Bay Villas will mark the 10th Hilton Grand Vacations Club Hawaiian property and the first located on Maui which brings much excitement to HGV owners who consistently rate Maui as their number one choice location for a new HGV property. Development of Phase 1 of Maui Bay Villas commenced in January and is scheduled to open in 2021 with four buildings and 131 suites.
Maui Bay Villas is to be set on a 27-acre stretch of land along the Maalaea Bay in Kihei, on Maui’s southwestern coast. Once complete, the expansive resort will offer a total of 388 one , two and three-bedroom suites in various one to four-story buildings. The resort’s planned amenities include a large clubhouse and restaurant, a super pool with a pool bar, an oceanfront beach club, a fitness center, a grab and go market, as well as a 15-acre recreational use lawn.
Set in a prime location, just north of the famous Wailea Beach, Maui Bay Villas will be a perfect home base for exploring Maui’s beautiful natural and historic attractions. The Kihei location is just 10 minutes from Wailea’s beaches and shopping, 17 minutes from Kahului Airport, 35 minutes to the island’s most famous beach, Kaanapali, and just one hour from Haleakala National Park and its enormous dormant volcano.
While pricing has not yet been announced, sales for Phase 1 of the new Maui Beach Villas are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2020. Building of Phase 2, which contains four buildings and 149 units will begin in 2022. Phase 3, with four buildings and 108 units will begin construction in 2025.
