Hilton Grand Vacations operates on a booking window system, which means that there are specific types of reservations that can be made during different booking windows. In this article, we’ll provide an overview of all of the types of Hilton Grand Vacations reservations that are possible, and what booking windows are available for each type of reservation.
In order to understand how far in advance you can book a reservation, we first need to determine what type of reservation you will be making within Hilton’s reservation system.
HGV Booking Windows By Type Of Reservation
Home Week Priority – Up To 12 Months Prior To Check-In Date
Home Week Priority Reservations are made by Hilton Grand Vacation Club members for their “home week.” This type of reservation takes place when an owner books their deeded resort, their deeded unit size (studio, 2 bedroom, etc.), and during their deeded season (platinum, gold, etc.).
Home Week Priority reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance.
Home Resort Priority – Up To 9 Months Prior To Check-Out Date
The Home Resort Priority reservation type is when an HGV owner can reserve any unit type, during any season, but is limited to their deeded home resort. Reservations are based on availability.
Generally, the Home Resort Priority booking window begins starting 276 days (9 months) prior to your desired check-out date, but this booking window is not available for all home resorts and can fluctuate slightly based on the home resort you are deeded to.
Hilton Club Priority – Up To 104 Days Prior To Check-Out Date
In order to be able to book this type of reservation, you must be deeded to a Hilton Club Property. If you are an owner of a Hilton Club property, can book a Hilton Club Priority reservation at any other Hilton Club property for any unit type, during any season, at any other Hilton Club resort, based on availability.
Hilton Club Priority reservations can be made up to 104 days before your desired check-out date.
Club Season – Up To 9 Months Prior To Check-Out Date
Club Season reservations take place when an owner wishes to book any unit type, at any HGV resort, during any season. Generally, the Club Season reservation window begins 9 months prior to check-out, but this booking window varies based on the resort you wish to book. We have included detailed booking window charts below to show you exactly what each resort’s booking windows are.
Open Season – Up To 30 Days Prior To Check-Out Date
The Open Season reservations are for last-minute trips that are reserved 30 days or less prior to check-out. Reservations are paid for by cash, rather than ClubPoints, and HGV owners can book any HGV resort, any unit size, during any season as long as it is available in the next 30 days.
