Maximum occupancy describes the absolute highest number of people that can be accommodated by a resort at one time. Of course, if the occupancy level of a resort is near the maximum, it may be hard for other owners to book, if they are utilizing a points-based ownership. But also, reaching near maximum occupancy means that owners are actively using their timeshares, which is always a good indication that folks are getting to enjoy their vacation time.
