And Why Do People Choose Them Over Hotels?
10 Reasons Why You Should Buy A Timeshare Resale
The Difference Between Timeshare Resorts and Hotels
One of the first things our clients notice is the beauty and luxury offered in the various vacation ownerships we broker, yet they are often surprised at just how affordable an ownership can be. When you vacation at a timeshare resort, you own your very own private condo. Complete with a full kitchen for those who enjoy cooking, or prefer the health / cost benefits of a home-cooked meal, as well as many other world-class amenities.
The vacation products offered in today’s market cater to any size of reservation from studios to one bedrooms, a great feature of privacy not available in many hotels, to multi-bedroom penthouses for even bigger get-togethers or reunions. Many of the resorts we specialize in have earned the highest ratings available from the popular trading companies and are situated in some of the most popular, desirable vacation destinations. We are pleased to be able to share our knowledge with you. History of the Industry
If you’ve ever thought of a timeshare as a “slice of the pie” of a luxury vacation resort, you’re not very far from the reasoning of a ski resort developer in the French Alps, who is credited with creating the first timeshare resort in the early 60’s. Coffee shops noticed long ago that an entire cake was too expensive to be sold with a cup of coffee, and could not be consumed at one sitting, but could be enjoyed by many if they chose to sell the cake by the slice.
A company named Hapimag brilliantly applied this model to hotel / resort ownership, which made resort ownership accessible to many more travelers. The resort market in Europe was quickly transformed, and soon after, in October of 1965, this type of ownership was incorporated into American Real Estate development. This has manifested into literally thousands of resorts across America, which comprise some of the most luxurious properties in the some of the most exclusive, high-end locations.
The first timeshare resort was known as Hilton Hale Kaanapali located on the island of Maui in beautiful Hawaii. Due to the success and luxury of this resort and many others on the mainland, timeshares have become extremely popular in North America. Bob Burns and Bob Ringenburg, who created the “original” points system, founded Vacation International in the early 70’s, which opened the floodgate for the modern timeshare industry’s most popular vacation ownerships.
We are excited to introduce you to the world of timeshares! Timeshares have allowed our families and our clients to finally experience the vacations that they’ve always deserved, but didn’t think they could afford.
