The Hilton timeshare seasons can seem complicated but once you understand the different seasons HGVC timeshares have, getting the best value for the money that you are spending will be much easier. You can make reservations at any of the resorts within the Hilton Grand Vacations Club resort network regardless of whether you purchase your timeshare at the presentations or through a resale broker.
Hilton Timeshare Seasons: Calendar Seasons
At each resort, the available weeks to reserve are broken up into one through four different seasons. These seasons are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Bronze Season
-
The bronze being the weeks with the lowest demand. Some newer resorts don’t utilize this season, but you can still find these ownerships, and they are typically the most affordable when it comes to initial purchase price.
Silver Season
-
Silver the next level up from bronze. This season is much more commonly seen on the resale market, and represents a great value for those who can travel during periods that are off-season.
Gold Season
-
Gold season is the second to most desirable season. It is very common to see these ownerships on the resale market, and they are can be much less expensive than a platinum season ownership at the same resort.
Platinum Season
-
Platinum is the highest demand weeks that are available. These seasons can last from one week to the entire year. The Platinum weeks have a higher value than other seasons and will cost more to purchase.
Home Resort Reservations
There are three types of reservations for HGVC owners. The first season is the Home Resort Season reservation period. This period gives priority to members to book the season and resort that they are deeded to. This means they must use a one-week vacation at their home resort during the season that they initially purchased. This season lasts from 12 months prior to the start of their home season and goes up until 9 months prior.
Club Reservations
The next registration season is the Club Season registration period. HGVC members are able to stay, with a three night minimum, at any club within the club. From 9 months prior to 30 days prior to the check-in day, members are allowed to make a reservation with a small $49 charge.
Open Season Reservations
Open Season reservations are all the last minute reservations. The same concept exists as the Club Season but members are allowed to make a 2 night minimum reservation as well as use HHonors points for the Club resorts. Members are also able to rent at members-only rates. There is still a $49 charge for Open Season reservations.
