A biennial timeshare that can only be utilized in a year that is an even number. For example, 2012, 2014 and 2016.
Biennial timeshares are just simply timeshares that allow for usage every other year. Although this type of ownership is still sold today, it is overwhelmingly more common for timeshares to allow for a trip to be taken at least once a year. Sometimes even more often if you’re utilizing a points-based ownership.
Generally, these ownerships are sold for a lower price than the traditional once-per-year timeshares, which is usually the main reason for purchasing a biennial ownership. You can also own two biennial timeshares, one odd year usage and one even year usage, and alternate between resorts each year. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
